Journalist and
writer (b. 1896, İstanbul, d. 1955). He graduated from Galatasaray High School.
He worked in the newspapers Öncü,
Tasvir-i Efkâr, İkdam and Vakit.
He supported the National Struggle at the newspaper Akşam, which he founded (1919) with Necmettin Sadak and Falih Rıfkı
after the World War I. Afterwards, he founded the newspapers İkdam (1926), Politika, İnkılap, Tan and Milliyet.
Ali Naci Karacan who participated in Treaty of Lausanne was the Switzerland
Press Attaché for a long time (1935-48) was known for his ardent critics that
he wrote at the newspaper Milliyet
and other newspapers. An award was organized for memorizing him by the
newspaper Milliyet in 1963.
