Historian (b. 1867, İstanbul - d. 1935). He graduated from Law School and worked at the palace as head secretary (1912-29) and permanent undersecretary in the Sultan’s private apartments (1920-22). There is important information in his books about the sultans and politicians that he knew personally in the last period of the Ottoman Empire and important events of the time.

Rical-ı Mühimme-i Siyasiyye (Pioneers of Important Politics, 1929), Mesail-i Mühimme-i Siyasiyye (Important Political Matters, with Bekir Sıtkı Baykal, 1966), Görüp İşittiklerim (Those I See and hear, 1941, 1952, 3rd edition, 1984).
