Gazi. He learned interpretation, Islamic law and Hadith from Sheikh Edebali;

the battles with Osman Gazi and served as Imam for warriors. He was appointed
as Kadı of Karacahisar city and Imam of church-converted mosque by Osman Gazi.
He made the first Friday sermon in here for him. According to the resources,
this sermon is the first one done indicating the independence of Ottomans.
Osman Gazi has divided the areas he conquered into five and left Bilecik under
his father-in-law’s administration. So, Dursun Fakih stayed next to Edebali and
conducted fatwa after his death. He lived in the same era with Yunus Emre, Aşık
Pasa and Gülşehri; and he is among the first poets of Ottoman period. His only
known work is named Gazavatnâme, and it is important due to its
religious content and as being one of the first examples of old Anatolian
Turkish.
