Kadir Has. Her mother was Sehline Hanım from the Yağcızade Family living in
Kanlıca, Istanbul and her father was Germirli Mehmet Bey from one of the
reputable families of Kayseri. After having finished the primary school in
Kayseri, she continued her education in İstanbul Kandilli Kız High School. When
she was a student in high school, in 1942 she married Kadir Has, who was the
member of one of Kayseri’s reputable families.
Rezan-Kadir Has couple lived in Adana
between 1942 and 1960. During their marriage, Rezan Has supported her husband,
who started to make trade at a very young age, throughout his business life. In
1960, they moved to Istanbul.
Her husband Kadir Has imitated his father
Nuri Has and stated to do charity works in 1980’s; Rezan Has supported her
husband's philanthropy. The Has Family presented Turkish society in many
education and health institutions first in Istanbul and then in Kayseri in the 1980’s.
Following years, they continued their charity works through the Kadir Has Foundation they established.
At the meantime, Kadir Has University, established in Istanbul, crowned the
charity works of Has Family.
