Prof. Dr. Önder Yargı, Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi, Fizik Bölümü bünyesinde görev yapmaktadır. Çalışma alanları: Yüzeyler ve arayüzeyler; İnce filmler ve nanosistemler, Optik özellikler, Yoğun madde spektroskopisi, Mühendislik ve Teknoloji.
Lisans (Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi, 2000), yüksek lisans (İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi, 2004) ve doktora (İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi, 2010) eğitimlerini tamamladı. Doktora tezi: "Polimer kompozitlerden film oluşumu ve oksijen geçirgenliği" (2010).
Akademik kayıtlara göre 86 bilimsel yayını bulunmaktadır; bunların 39'u Web of Science dizinlidir. Uluslararası yayın dizinlerinde 6 yayını kayıtlıdır.
