He was the leader of Kurdish Hemudi (Hamidi) tribe, and Ruler of Bitlis, Cizre and Mosul during Abbasides. (B. 324 AH / 926 MD Diyarbakır – D. 348 AH/ 959 MD)  He replaced his father Dustik who was Siirt Ruler in 959. While ruling part of Bitlis and Cizre also amend Meyyafarkin, Diyarbakır, Erciş and Malazgirt. Abbaside Caliph named him as Ebussuca due to his achievements and courage. His nickname was printed on the money he issued. His name was read by caliph’s name during khutbah.

Ebüşşüca's relations with Adududdevle's son Semsamuddevle were deteriorated by time. Semsamuddevle sent the military under the command of Erdesir's son Ebisedbehram on Ebüşşüca. Ebüşşüca won the battle in Baclaya. Semsam attacked on him with the army under the command of Ebulkasim Seed. Two armies confronted somewhere close to Habur River. The war was very violent. Ebüşşüca won the battle again and soldiers of Semsamuddevle have escaped from their units. Ebuşşüca followed them to the Mosul.

Meanwhile Mosul was under the oppression of Deylem. People of Mosul welcomed Ebuşşüca as their savior. The doors of Mosul were opened to him. Ebüşşüca entered Mosul as a victorious commander. After putting order in Mosul, he prepared to go to Baghdad. His goal was to expel Deylem and Bubihiyin and to save the capital Baghdad and the caliph. When Semsamuddevle heard about this, he was scared. He made a great military preparation to defend himself. He appointed Sehr Akoye's son Ziyad as the commander of this army. These two armies confronted somewhere close to Tikriti. Ebüşşüca has lost the battle. So he did not have the chance to protect Mosul. He had to return to Diyarbakir, leaving Mosul.

Samsamuddevle returned to Mosul after this victory. He sent soldiers to Diyarbakir under the command of Saaduddevle to kill Ebüşşüca. When he was not successful, he used tricks. He hired an assassin from Batinis to kill Ebuşşüca. Ebuşşüca was injured after the attack. But a peace agreement was done in 985 on with the condition that western part of Turabiddin Mountain belonging to Ebussuca. (El Kamil, v.  9, p. 14-16)
