"Furkan Kurt" - Educator, Turkish
folklorist and writer. He was born on April 28, 1983 in Artova district. He
completed his primary and secondary school in Kırşehir and high school in
Konya. She received her bachelor's degree in Turkish Language and Literature
Teaching from the International Ahmet Yesevi Turkish-Kazakh University between
2003-2008.
Between 2005
and 2008, he gave private lessons in Turkish, Russian and Kazakh, and between
2009 and 2010 she gave lessons at primary, secondary and high school levels in
private education institutions. Between 2010 and 2012, he worked as a
researcher at Gazi University Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum.
Later, he
completed her education in the field of Turkish Folklore at Gazi University in
2010-2013 with her master's thesis titled "Tombs and Places to Visit in
Yozgat". Between 2016 and 2022, he completed her doctoral studies at
Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, Department of Turkish Folklore with her
thesis titled "Cults in the Survival of Turkish Identity in North
Macedonia".
As an
important milestone in her career, between 2012 and 2021, he worked as a
Turkish teacher for foreigners at the Yunus Emre Institute under the Ministry
of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey in Kazakhstan, Macedonia and
Nigeria. During this time, he gave lectures in the universities and state
institutions of the countries where he was a Turkish teacher. At the same time,
he undertook curatorships in cultural projects of Turkish cultural centers.
Furkan Kurt
has papers and articles presented at national and international scientific
meetings in the fields of Turkish Folklore, Turkish Folk Literature and
Teaching Turkish to Foreigners. Kurt is an educator and writer known for his
work in these fields, operating in a wide range of academic and literary
fields.
He speaks
Russian, English, Macedonian and Kazakh.
