Poet (B. 1893, Istanbul-
D. March 30, 1957, Istanbul). He is the brother of painter and writer Abidin
Dino. He received his education in foreign countries. He studied at Simon
Stevens Institute, Gemloux Agricultural School
in Belgium
and Genève University Political Sciences Department. He did several jobs such
as boxing, cooking, graphic designing, sculpting and art critique. After 1923,
he worked as a portrait artist in Athens,
and acted as villain in movies.
He lived in foreign countries
for a long time. When he came back to Istanbul
after 1951, he worked as an actor. He lived an exile life in Kayseri Develi and
Adana because
of his political activities (1952-56). He published a poem record titled
Eclosion in 1930. Abidin Dino, Rasih Nuri İleri and Hür Yumer translated his
poems from French to Turkish. His poems, which were published in Ses, Yeni Ses, Yaprak magazines, his drawings and writings about him were
collected after his dead in a book titled Çok Yaşasın Ölüler (1986).
