Writer (b. 25 April 1940,
Bisertsi-Nasrettin / Razgrad / Bulgaria). He has also used the pen name Islam
Beytullah. He graduated from Razgrad Teachers Institute (1960). He started to
work as a teacher in 1960. He served as the Principal of Skolartsi Primary
School of Slivan. He started to work as a journalist in 1968. He was the staff
reporter of the Slivan and Burgaz districts for the newspaper Yeni Işık that was published in Sofia.
He was the Slivan Branch General Secretary of the Bulgaria Journalists
Association between 1976 and 1980. He was arrested and put into Belene Prison
Camp in 1985 for opposing the changing of Turkish names to Slav- Bulgarian
names. He settled in Turkey when he was deported in 1989. He worked as a
teacher of English in Ankara.
He has translated some short stories of
Mahmut Şevket Esendal into Bulgarian and some stories of Russian and Bulgarian
writers into Turkish. Since 1964, his articles and short stories have been
published in the reviews and newspapers such as Halk Gençliği, Yeni Işık, Yeni Hayat (Sofia), Balkanlarda Türk Kültürü, Evlâd-ı Fatihan (Bursa), Tarla, Tuna, Haber 69, Esinti, Balkanlılar,

Oğuz Yurdu and İstidat (Azerbaijan). He is a member of the Professional
Association of Scientific and Literary Work Owners of Turkey and the Turkic
World Writers and Artists Foundation (board member).
