Historian (b. 1960, Burdur). He graduated from Ankara University
in 1983. He did his graduate studies at Manchester
University in 1986 and his doctorate
studies at London
University in 1990. He
worked as a teacher in 1983, as a researcher at Boğaziçi University
on İslâm Ansiklopedisi (Encyclopedia of Islam) of the Turkish Foundation
for Religious Affairs in 1991. He gave lectures at the Centre for Research on
Islam at Marmara University in 1993.
