Cinema critic (b.
1941, İstanbul). She graduated from Arnavutköy American
College for Girls (1960).
She studied at Robert
College, Department of
Administrative Sciences between 1963 and 1965. Ayşe Şasa, who has worked as a
scenarist in Turkish cinema since 1960, has written almost 15 screenplays
including Son Kuşlar (The Last Birds), Ah Güzel İstanbul (Ah, Beautiful
İstanbul), Cemo (Cemo), Gramafon Avrat (Gramophone Woman). She
has written cinema critiques and reviews under the title Yeşilçam Günlüğü (Journal
of Yeşilçam) in the review Dergâh
since 1990. She received the Writers Union of Turkey Critic Award in 1994.
