Poet (b. 9 December 1952,
Oğulcuk village / Erzincan). He graduated from Erzincan High School (1969) and
Bursa Institute of Education (1975). He completed his postgraduate education at
Anadolu University (1991). He worked as a civil servant in Bingöl (1970- 72),
and as a teacher of literature at high schools in Muş
(1975-76) and İstanbul (1978). He is a member of the Turkish Authors
Association, the Writers Syndicate of Turkey and the PEN Association of
Authors.
His first poem was published in the
review Yazko Edebiyat (May, 1981).
His later poetry has been published in reviews such as Yazko Edebiyat, Türk Dili, Hürriyet Gösteri, Adam Sanat, Milliyet Sanat,
Varlık and Edebiyat ve Eleştiri.
He won the 1989 Ceyhun Atuf Kansu Poetry Award with his book Peryavşan (Peryavşan).
