Storywriter (b.
31 March 1963, Çine / Aydın). He completed his primary and elementary education
in Eskiçine and graduated from Atatürk
University, Kazim
Karabekir Faculty of Education, Department of Turkish Language and Literature
(1987). He attended post-graduate courses at Marmara University,
Faculty of Theology, Department of Turkish Islamic Arts for a time but left
without completing the course. He published his work “Anlatılarda Hoca Tipleri” (Muslim Teacher
Styles in Narratives), which he did as his master’s thesis, in the review Tarih ve Düşünce. He organized the
culture and arts page of the review Panel
with M. Sabri Aydınlı. He worked as a teacher in districts such as Rize, Çorum
and Manisa and continued with his studies in Ankara.
The first short
story of Kamil Yeşil, İlgi, (Interest) was published in the review Aylık Dergi, printed in Ankara (1988). He
published his research, essays and critiques in reviews such as İzlenim, Nehir, Bilgi ve Hikmet, İlim ve
Sanat, Panel, Altınoluk, Tarih ve Düşünce, and his stories in the reviews Ayâne, Kayıtlar, Kardelen, Kaşgar,
Yönelişler, Hece, Dergâh, İkindi Yazıları, and Birlik (Skopje).
He edited Ali Kemal’s Paris Musahebeleri (Paris Conversations). He was selected as the Story
Writer of the Year by the Writers Union of Turkey in the 2001 competition with
his work Balın Tuzu Eksik (Honey
Lacking Salt).
