     Writer and politician (b. 26 April 1936, İstanbul). He attended Vezneciler Altıncı Primary School and the secondary class at Pertevniyal High School and graduated from Diyarbakır Ziya Gökalp High School and Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences (1959). He did his MBA in the United States at Georgia University and Michigan University where he received a Certificate of Effective Management. For a while he worked as a bank supervisor and then as a manager in the finance department at the State Planning Organization. At that time he also gave lectures at different universities and foundations. He was a manager and consultant in the private sector. In 1995 and 1999 he was elected as the İstanbul parliamentary deputy for the Motherland Party.

He has written political articles in the newspaper Sabah. All of his plays were taken as part of the repertoire of İstanbul Municipal City Theater. His articles have been published in columns releteing to religion and politics. His work Güz Sancısı (Autumn Stomachache) and Salkım Hanımın Taneleri (Seeds of Salkım Hanım) have been translated into foreign languages. In 1999 his work Salkım Hanımın Taneleri (Seeds of Salkım Hanım), with which he collected the Yunus Nadi Novel Award in 1990, was filmed. The film won the Best Film Award at the Antalya Golden Orange Festival. Turk İktisad Tarihi Belgeseli (Documentary of the History of the Turkish Economy) for which he wrote the text was broadcast by the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation an eight-part serial. In his most talked about novel Salkım Hanımın Taneleri (Seeds of Salkım Hanım), he explains the development of employment during the years of World War II, bankruptcy and developing economic sectors, Jewish merchant families, wealth class changes and the change in morality and culture in this process, tax on wealth and earnings and the approach of the government of Saraçoğlu regarding this subject.
