Poet and writer (b. 13 March 1956, Bayburt). He is a
graduate of Bayburt Industrial Vocational High School (1975). He worked as a
graphic artist in İstanbul and as the editor of Giz Agency and the editor-in
chief of the magazines Selam and İnsan Hakları Araştırma Dergisi. Since
1998, he has managed an audio publishing company.
His
articles and poems have been published in the magazines Özgür ve
Bilge, Bilgi ve Düşünce, Yedi İklim, İmza, Özülke, Kardelen, Düş Çınarı, Kitap
Dergisi ve Kültür Dünyası, Özgür İrade, Selam and Umran since 1984. His play called Pamuk Bulut Ormanı (Cotton Cloud Forest)
was performed at İstanbul City Theatres in 2000. He has made recordings for over 30 radio
plays for various radio stations. He has written and directed many plays for
recordings. Music for more than 50
of his poems has been composed by various artists. He has prepared and
presented the cultural program Mercan Kayalıkları (Coral Reefs) for
Marmara FM and Akra FM. He has served as the Vice President of the Organization
of Human Rights & Solidarity for Oppressed People. He is a member of
Writers Union of Turkey.
