Novelist,
translator (b. 16 November 1927 - d. 15 March 2020, Istanbul). Her full name is Zeynep Nihal Yeğinobalı. She
attended primary school in İstanbul where she came when she was a child and
graduated from Arnavutköy American Girls’ College. Afterwards she went to
United States and studied literature at New York State University. As a
mastered translator, she translated many classic and modern authors, novels and
short stories into Turkish. She published her first novel Genç Kızlar (Young Girls) under a pseudonym Vincent Ewing,
so-called American writer. This work was published many times through years and
is still being published and read.
