Storywriter and novelist (b. 19 May 1930, Eymir village / İnegöl / Bursa). He attended Eymir Village Primary School (1945), Arifiye Village Institute (1952) and graduated from Gazi Institute of Education, Department of Science (1954). He was given language education in the United Kingdom (1966-1968). He worked as teacher in the village and centeral schools of Ministry of National Education in Çorum (1952), Derik, Mardin (1954-55), Beşikdüzü, Trabzon (1956-59), Demirci, Manisa (1959-62), İnegöl, Bursa (1962-68), Diyarbakır (1968-71), Bursa'daki (1971-80), and then he retired. He is a member of the Writers Syndicate of Turkey, the Turkish Authors Association, the Language Society and the Kemalist Thought Association. 

His first poem (Son Yolculuk-Last Voyage) was published in the newspaper  Sorunlarımıza Işık (İnegöl), his first short story was published in the review Türk Dili (issue: 330, Mach 1979) with a presentation article of Fakir Baykurt. His other works were published in Türk Dili, Edebiyat ‘81, Dönem, Kıyı, Yaba-Öykü, Kıyı, Damar, Cumhuriyet Kitap, Dünya Kitap, Biçem, Yeni Biçem, Çağdaş Türk Dili, Yaklaşım, Cumhuriyet and in local newspapers of Bursa. He collected the Nevzat Üstün 1981 Short Story Award with his book Hanife Nine'den Öyküler (Short Stories from Grandmother Hanife); the Honorable Mention in 1990 Ferit Oğuz Bayır Awards with his novel Boşlukta Adam (Man in Gap) and the Education Award of Bursa Branch of the Progressive Journalists Association. Doğan Hızlan emphasized in one of his articles that Gezer brought “new dimentions, new tastes, new humanistic approaches” to the subjects found in village story and novels.  Gezer declerates his opinion about the technique of short story with this phase “I am in the opinion of that the contexts of introduction, evaluation and conclusion have been passed over in contemporary story writing. I think poetic narration forms the essence of short story. It gained importance now that why and how the story has been written” (Yaba-Öykü, issue: 16)
