Poet (b. 27 March 1953, Dilek village / Elazığ [Centrum] – d. 24 July 2002, Adana). He graduated from Diyarbakır Institute of Education, Department of Turkish Language and Literature (1975) and Ankara University, Faculty of Education, Department of Fine Arts Education (1977). His masters thesis was on Şiirimizde Garip Hareketi (Garip (Strange) Movement in Our Poetry – 1980). He worked as a teacher of literature at high schools in Ankara since 1975 and as an academician of Turkish Language at Çukurova University, Faculty of Education after 1987.

His first poems Ter Şiirleri (Poems of Sweat) were published in the 24.12.1974 numbered issues of the review Yeni Adımlar. He published his poetry in the reviews such as Yapıt, Yeni Olgu, Sanat Emeği, Türkiye Yazıları, Petek, Yazko Edebiyat, Somut, Anadolu Ekini, Dönemeç, Söylem, Artı and Oluşum and in the newspapers Yeni Halkçı, Demokrat and Cumhuriyet. He represented Turkey at a poetry festival that took place in Rotterdam in 1996. His ten poems were translated into Dutch. He was a member of Writers Syndicate of Turkey, PEN Authors Association and Çukurova University Academicians Foundation. He died at Çukurova University Balcalı Hospital where he was treated lung cancer for a long time.
