Novelist (b.
1911, İstanbul – d. 25 November 1976). After finishing Istanbul Teachers Training School for Girls (1919), she worked as a Turkish and literature teacher at several
primary, secondary and high schools. She won the Institute of Child Care Award
in 1948 with her children’s novel İlk
Arkadaş (First Friend), the the
Yapı Kredi Bank Contest Award (1954) with her novel Uyanan Köy (The Wakining
Village) and the third prize in the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation’s
1969 Radio Play Contest with Cem
Sultan (Sultan Cem)
