Novelist (b. 1903, İstanbul – d. 28 March 1967). After attending İskilip Secondary School he completed his education in Galatasaray and Kabataş High Schools. He graduated from Millî Ticâret-i Bahriyye Kaptan ve Çarkçı Mekteb-i Alîsi (High Maritime School). He became deputy from Kars and Siirt (1942-50). He began to work as a journalist in Tevhid-i Efkâr in 1920, he worked as a chief editor in newspapers Vatan, Son Sanat and Milliyet, where he also worked as an editorial writer. He published newspapers Zaman, Açık Söz, İkdam, Son Telgraf and Gece Postası.

He became well-known with his love and adventure novels which were very popular. He gained a reputation with his expression resembling film language and was fast, fluent, far from unnecessary details and supremely amusing in his novels that were very popular in a period.
