Movie and theatre actress (B. 28th
September 1924, Izmir –D. 15th January 2007, Istanbul). She was the
mother of actress Alev Oraloğlu. She went to Dame de Sion, Şişli Terakki,
Oraloğlu drew attention
at Muhsin Ertuğrul in drama schools and she went onstage with Yarış
at Küçük Sahne in 1951. She took on roles
in Kanlı Düğün,
Hamlet, Yaz Bekârı. He
attended to Oda Theater as a guest artist. She performed in Misafir
and Matmazel Julie. She took roles in
plays such as Burada
gömülü, Tahta çanaklar, Çöl faresi at Karaca Theatre. Beginning from 1961, she had acted in tours she went
on with the company she founded and which she named after herself. She acted in
plays such as Hamlet, Denizden Gelen
Kadın, Pygmalion and she directed some of them
herself. Meanwhile, she began to appear in movies and she took the lead roles
in many movies between 1951 and 1960. She directed various movies such as Bir Kadın Uğruna, Bizimkiler, Ölüm Bebekleri. In 1987,
she shut down her company in order to be with her ninety years old mother.
Later, she returned to the theatre but she generally preferred to go on tours.
She worked at several
braches in the movie sector. She wrote scripts, she tried her hand at
directing. Along with the first three female directors in Turkish cinema, her
life was subjected in a documentary called Görünmeyen Kadınları. In the Türk
Filmleri (T.N. Turkish Films) Contest, she won the Best Actress Award with Kırık
Çanaklar (1961) and won Avni
Dilligil Theater Special Jury Award in 2000. On December 1, 2001 she celebrated
her 50th Year in arts in a night celebration held by Ministry of
Culture
