Poet and writer (b. 1921 İstanbul – d. 7 August 1998). He graduated from İstanbul Vefa High School (1939) and from Istanbul Advanced School of Commerce and Economics (1942). He worked as an insurance agent and as a civil servant at the Turk Trade Bank (1953-60) and as a freelance accountant.

He had two poetry books published, but he was known mainly for his historical novels and plays. He won an award for his play Dökmeci (The Metal Caster) at the Republican People’s Party Theatre Competition in 1947.

NOVEL: Cadıların Kırbacı (The Whip of the Witches, 1946), Maske (The Mask, 1955), Bir Sel Gibi (Like a Torrent, 1962), Son Akın (The Last Rush, 1963), Belki Bir Gün (Maybe One Day, 1965), Suların Gölgesinde (In the Shadow of the Waters, 1966), Bozkırda Sabah (Morning on the Steppe, 1969).

PLAY: Dökmeci (The Metal Caster, 1954), Yarısı (Half of It, 1967), Üç Oyun (Three Plays: Armutlar - Pears, Yolcular - Passengers, Tanyeri - Daybreak, 1970), Duman (The Smoke, 1970), İki Oyun (Two Plays: Duman - The Smoke, Keçiler - The Goats, 1970), Soytarı (The Clown, 1974).
