Poet and author. (B. 1886, Diyarbekir - D. December 25,
1939, Istanbul). His real name is Mehmet Samih Fethi. He completed his
education in his homeland. He worked as a history and literature teacher in
He wrote articles in Cumhuriyet
newspaper and serialized his novels. He was known
with his novels focusing on history. Turhan Tan has published several
poems and articles in the journal of Servet-i Fünûn and several newspapers with
pseudonyms such as Bedrettin Yilmaz and Halil Rüştü during his youth. He has several published articles in Hayat Encyclopedia
with the signature M.S. His poems were not published as a book. Impact of
Edebiyât-ı Cedîde poets are seen in his poems. He has thirty four novels.
