Writer (b. 24 May 1948, Ankara). He graduated from Ankara College and
Ankara University, Faculty of Law (1970). He worked as an assistant (1973),
doctor of law (1978) and associate professor (1984) at the Institution of
Public Administration for Turkey and the Middle East (1972) and Ankara
University, Faculty of Law. He started to work as a freelance lawyer after he
left his office at the university in 1984. He was the General Secretary of the
People’s Houses (1975- 76), Chairman of the Art Institution (1976- 80) and an
advisor at the Ministry of Culture (1992- 1996). He founded the Kemalist
Thought Association with his associates in 1990 and was the first general
secretary of this association. In the same year, he became a professor of
general law after returning to the university on a decision of the State
Council.
He worked as the Advisor Responsible
for Human Rights at the State Ministry between 1997 and 1999. He continues to
work as a lawyer as well as working at the university. He is a board member of
Eurasia Strategic Research Center and editorial board member of the review
Avrasya Dosyası published by the same institution. He is also a member of
Turkish Law Society, the Art Institution, the Turkish Revolution Institution,
the Kemalist Thought Association, the People’s Houses, the Language Society and
the Turkish Authors Association.
His articles on political science and cultural issues have been
published in reviews and newspapers such as Adım
(1960-70), Halkevleri (1971-78), Ulus (1969), Barış (1971), Yeni Ulus
(1972), Yeni Halkçı (1973), Akis (1986), Yenigün, Güneş (1988-89), Ayyıldız,
