Poet
and writer (b. 1919, İstanbul – d. 5 April 1993, London, United Kingdom).
He graduated from İstanbul Saint Joseph Private French High School. He did his
postgraduate studies in the area of politics at Ecole Libré de Sciences in Paris
and economics at Durham University in London. He retired after working at
Turkish Broadcasting Service at the BBC in London for many years.
His
short stories, in which he was considered as giving importance to form more
than character by the critics, were published in reviews such as Yeditepe, Yenilik, Türk Dil. He received the Turkish Language Association
1963 Short Story Award with his book Sığınak
Hikâyeleri (Stories of Shelter) in
which he wrote about London in the years of World War II.
