Writer (b.
7 March 1934, Diyarbakır). He completed his primary education in Ağın. He
graduated from Dicle Village Institute (1956) and from Ankara Gazi Institute of
Education, Department of Turkish (1958). He worked as a teacher of literature
at Çorum and Maraş Teacher Training Schools, and then worked as an instructor
at Hacettepe University, School of Basic Sciences, Department of Turkish. After
working as a specialist at the Turkish History Institute (1972-73), he became a
Turkish teacher at Gazi Institute of Education School of Foreign Languages
(1974) and became the head of the Press and Publication Department at the
Ministry of Culture (1978). Then he went to Germany where he worked on the
committee that was established to prepare textbooks for children of Turkish
workers in Germany.
