Fehmi Hilmi Cumalıoğlu

Poet, writer and diplomat (b. 1912, Tekirdağ – d. 25 Temmuz 1996). His full name is Fehmi Hilmi Cumalioğlu. After his primary and secondary education in Tekirdağ, he graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Medicine where he studied as a military student. While he was working at Samsun Military Hospital as the Head Doctor with the rank of colonel, he retired and embarked on a career in politics with the New Turkey Party. He entered parliament with this party in 1965 and in 1973 he entered parliament with the National Security Party.
