Writer and
poet (b. 14 November 1940, İstanbul). His full name is Mehmet Eray Canberk. He
has used the pen names Akay Tekhan, Aydın Ergü, Gülsüm Talay, Güngör Songür,
Işık Horasanlı, Mehmet Eray and Mehmet Tuncay. He attended Haydarpaşa High School
(1958) and graduated from İstanbul University, Faculty of Literature,
Department of French Philology (1964). He was a translator between 1964 and
1968. Before he started working in publishing, he had been a primary school
teacher for a while. He was editor-in-chief at May Publishing between 1968-
