Poet and writer (b. 1914, Preveze – d. 1992, Ankara). He is a son of İsmail Hakkı who was the Mufti of Preveze. At the outbreak of the First World War he emigrated to İstanbul with his family. He completed his primary education in Mudanya Şükrü Çavuş Primary School. He entered Bursa Military High School. He graduated from Maltepe Military High School (1932), Istanbul War Academy (1934) and the Cavalry and Horsemanship School (1935). He had posts at different ranks in the army until he was promoted to Colonel in 1960. He retired in 1960, after which he studied at the Faculty of Theology. He was a member and founder member of many societies. 

In his teenage years Enver Tuncalp began to write poems. He published his first poem in the Bursa Halkın Sesi newspaper in 1931. There was chiefly an interest in his quatrains, which along with his writing, were published by a lot of journals, newspapers and annuals. A few of his poems were set to music. His articles and poems were published in intellectual, literary, social and religious art journals such as Hâkimiyet, Medeniyet, Yeni İstanbul, Hürsöz and in other newspapers, Millet, Hakka Doğru, Kaynak , Köy Postası, Savaş, Damla, Rüzgâr, Toprak, Orkun , Din Yolu, İslâm, Hilâl, Türk Yurdu, Müslüman Sesi, Oku, Çağır and Çağrı. He worked on many anthologies. His poem Edirne (Edirne) won the İstanbul Poetry Award in 1948. His poem Erzurum’da (In Erzurum) won a placing at the Erzurum Poetry Contest in 1950.
