Children’s literature writer (b. 1945, Konya). He attended primary and secondary schools in different cities and then attended Istanbul Atatürk High School. He worked at Milliyet Publications between 1980-88 and later at Gelişim Publications. He edited the reviews Milliyet Çocuk, Milliyet Kardeş and Güm Güm. He wrote children’s stories and novels as well as educational series for television. Because of his service to children’s literature and education, he collected the Poetry Award at the 2nd International Fair of Children’s Books in 1979, the Playwright Competition Award given by the review Milliyet Sanat Dergisi in 1980, in 1983 the Turkish/Greek Friendship Abdi İpekçi Achievement in Poetry Award and the International Polish Smile and Chivalry Award in 1986. He represented Turkey at the International Children’s Poetry Festival in 2001.
