Researcher on urban
culture and history. He was born in Yayla Village / Bala / Ankara on January 1,
1956. He went to primary school in Yayla village. He completed his secondary
education at Ankara Central Imam Hatip School. He graduated from Ankara Central
Imam Hatip High School in 1976. He abandoned his education at Ankara University
Faculty of Divinity during his second year and started to work as a journalist.
He worked as a publication expert at Prime Ministry General Directorate for
Foundations for almost twelve years. He executed the project “Foundations in
Cities”. He received training at Şekip Oğuz Graphics and Fine Arts Workshop for
five years with the method of master-apprentice relationship. He received his
permission (competency) for ornamentation works from Ord. Prof. Dr. Süheyl
Ünver. His works in graphics, ornamentation and photography were published both
at national and at international levels. He received prizes for these works. He
designed the emblem of Prime Ministry General Directorate for Foundations in
1982. He has resigned from being a civil servant, established Reyhan
Publications and started to work as a freelance. He prepared and presented Ankara Sevdası, a radio program about
history, culture, literature and travel, for the Ankara radios. He organized
history and culture trips and introduced Turkey to foreigners. He worked as the
technical director for weekly Vesika
journal (1976) and as the editor in chief for Hilal journal (1976-77).
His first articles were
published in Hilal journal (1976). He
worked as the member of editorial board and technical director in Vakıflar Journal between the years of
1978 and 1984. He also served as an editorial board member and technical
director for the journal of Rölöve ve
Restorasyon between the years of 1978 and 1984. He became a member of
Writers Union of Turkey. He continued his research on Turkey’s Spiritual Geography.
