Poet and writer (b. 16 August 1938, Ankara - d. 27 October 2019, Ankara). She used
signature of Elif Sorgun in her poem works. Cemal Süreya is her husband that
they have been married for 10 years and Mehmet Seyda is her sister’s husband.
She attended İstanbul Merdivenköy Primary School and graduated from Private
Moda Institute for girls (1955). She worked as official of Retired Organization
at General Directorship of Social Insurance Association and Ankara and İstanbul
Section Directorship of it and Social Insurance Association Fındıklı
Directorship of Real Estate and Buildings. She retired in 1987. She has
continued her studies in İstanbul.
Her poem and prose works were
published in Türk Dili Dergisi, Kadıköy,
Yelken, Papirüs, Türkiye Yazıları, Yeni Edebiyat, Güzel Yazılar reviews.
She is a member of Writers Syndicate of Turkey (board member) and Litterateur
Association.
