Poet and storywriter (b. 1 January 1951, Tatköy, Selçuklu, Konya). He graduated from the Art Institute for Boys (1966). He worked as a journalist in Konya for some time (1969-70) and later had various jobs. He began to work as a civil servant after 1976, however his job was interrupted for some time under article 1402 of the Penal Code.

His first poems, stories and interviews were published in the newspaper Yeni Konya in 1968. His later works appeared in the newspapers and reviews Yeni Konya, Yeni Meram, Somut, Varlık, Tan (Yugoslavia), Yaba, İnsancıl, Eşik, Aykırı Sanat, Gerçek Sanat, Çağrı, Minerva and Tavır. He began to re-publish the review Çalı in April 2003. He was a daily columnist in the newspaper Yeni Konya (1996). He is a member of the Writers Syndicate of Turkey, the Turkish Authors Association and the Kemalist Thought Association.

RESEARCH: Gelenek ve Görenekleriyle Konya Dağ Köyleri (Mountain Villages in Konya and Their Traditions, 1997), Bir Bozkır Türküsü – Beldeleri Yaylalarıyla Konya (A Song from the Steppe – Konya and its Provinces and Uplands, 2003).
