Novelist (B. 1905, Taşkent/ Uzbekistan- D. July 1, 1968, Taşkent).  His full name is Musa Taşmuhammedoğlu. Aybek is one of the leading names of 20th century Uzbekistan Literature. He received his education from Taşkent Pedagogy Technical School, Central Asia State University Leningrad Social Sciences Faculty. He was selected as a member of Uzbekistan Sciences Academy in 1943.

He wrote his poems under the influence of “Ceditçilik” movement until the World War 2nd. He owned his permanent place in literature history with his work Kutluk Han, in which he mentioned about the freedom desire of Uzbek People. This book was translated in to other Turkish dialects and also in to Russian, Hindi, Chinese and Slavic languages. His works were collected and published after his death. His novel Nevâî, was considered worthy for Soviet State Award. He has around twenty different works.
