Poet
and businessman. Ferruh Tunç was born in Antalya in 1958. He graduated from the
Faculty of Political Science at Ankara University. He began working as an
auditor and continued working at international consulting companies. In 2009 he
was appointed to the chairman of the executive board of KPMG in Turkey.
Since
1990 Tunç has published many poems and articles in various literary journals
such as Adam Sanat, Broy, Yeni Biçem, Edebiyat ve Eleştiri, Varoş, Papirüs,
Mecaz, İmge-Öykü, Varlık, and Sözcükler. His first book entitled "Şehrin
Eski Yolcusu" was published in 1995. In 2010 Tunç received a Behçet
Becatigil Poetry Award and Ceyhun Atuf Kansu Poetry Award for his book
"Melez Zamanlar" (2010). In 2012 he won a Behçet Aysan Poetry Award for
his book "Tunç Ayna" (2012). Tunç currently continues his work in
Istanbul.
