Playwright (b. 1923, Artvin – d. 25 July 1974, Ankara). He attended primary and secondary schools in Ankara and Bursa. After officially retiring from Sümerbank due to health problems (1967), he took up writing. He was known first with his humorous stories, and after 1968, with his plays. His plays were staged at theatres in Ankara, Eskişehir and İstanbul. His play with the title 403. Kilometre (403rd Kilometer) was selected best play of the year in 1973. After his death a theatre award was established in his name by his family.
