Writer (b. 17 April 1924, Sivastopol /
Crimea - d. 4 February 2007, İstanbul).
After attending primary school in Crimea, he came to Turkey. He attended
Nişantaşı Secondary School for Boys, Kabataş High School for Boys and graduated
from İstanbul University, Faculty of Law (1948). He entered to the same faculty
as assistant in 1950, and then he became assistant professor and professor. He
worked as the director of Marmara University, School of Press and Publishing
from 1982. He served as the member of Foundation Council (1961), the member and
chairman of the Executive Committee of the Turkish Radio and Television
Corporation (1964-1968), the member of Supreme Board of the Turkish Radio and
Television Corporation (1986). He has been lecturer in İstanbul Kültür
University since 1999.
He wrote for various newspapers and
reviews from 1945, for the newspaper Bulvar till it was closed, for the
reviews İstanbul Ticaret and The Middle East. He was received Palme Academique Chevalier Title by French government
for his service to French Culture in 1985. He is a member of Mustafa Kemal
Association, Presidency of Academic Council, Atatürk Culture, Language and
History Institutions.
