Poet (b. 1950,
Ankara - d. 19 February 2022, Istanbul). He graduated
from Institute of Journalism and Public Relations (1972). He worked as
program producer at the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation. He left the
Turkish Radio and Television Corporation in 1982 and settled İstanbul. He
published his poems in the reviews Meltem,
Dost, Yansıma and Yazko-Edebiyat
(1980-83).
He collected the Halil Kocagöz Poetry
Award in 1995 with his poem titled Ayda
Tümör İzleri (The Traces of Tumor on the Moon). He shared the Yunus Nadi
Poetry Award with Aydın Afacan in 1996 with his poem titled Meğer Söz Gümüş (Apparently the Word is
Silver) and he shared the Cemal Süreyya Poetry Award with Mehmet Mümtaz Tuzcu
and Enver Ercan in 1997. He ranked second for the Golden Orange Poetry Award in
1997 with his poem Avluda (In the
Courtyard).
