Poet (b. 1866, İstanbul - d. 27 March 1930). He was a
graduate of Galatasaray High School (1886), and Istanbul Fine Arts Academy (Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University), Department of Painting. He worked as principle and teacher at various schools.
He became famous with the name “Ceremony Maker” (ihtifalci), as he organized
many ceremonies for national celebration days. He was known for his research on
cultural and historical subjects.

Cami-i Şerifi (Kariye Mosque, 1910), Yenikapı Mevlevihânesi (The
Yenikapı Dervish Lodge, 1913), İstanbul ve Boğaziçi (İstanbul and the
Bosphorus, 2 volumes, 1920-1928).
