Poet and writer (b. 19 December 1947, Prizren /
Macedonia). He attended Primary and Teachers School in Prizren and graduated
from the Faculty of Law in Pristina. He was one of the founders of the journal Tan (Pristina, 1969) for which he supervised
the culture, education and art pages. He worked as a judge in Prizren
Municipality.
He
has translated Turkish poems for journals published in the languages of the
peoples of Yugoslavia. His poetry, short story, novel, essay and critiques have
featured in many anthologies. He has presented communiqués at many
international conferences of language, folklore and science. In addition, his
translations of examples of Turkish Folk Poetry have appeared in many art
magazines published in the languages of the peoples of Yugoslavia. Also, he has
translated some examples from Yugoslavian literature. He is a member of True
Path Turkish Culture and Art Association (1968, 1988). In 1994, he helped
establish and was first chairman of the Yugoslavian Turkish Association of
Writers.
