Businesswoman. The President of the Turkish Industrialists & Businessmen Association (TUSIAD). Ümit Boyner was born in 1963 in Istanbul. Her full name is Nazlı Ümit Boyner. She is the wife of businessman and politician Cem Boyner. She graduated from the department of economy of University of Rochester in New York in 1985. With the conglomeration project of Boyner Group, she started to serve as the vice-president for finance. In 2005, she became the member of board responsible for Promotion Commission of TUSIAD, and the vice-president in 2007. On the date of 21 January 2010, she was elected as the chairwoman of TUSIAD executive board.

Moreover, Ümit Boyner is a founding member of Women Entrepreneurs Association of Turkey (KAGİDER) and served as the vice-president of KAGİDER for four years. At the same time, she is in the board of trustees of Turkish Underwater Archaeology Foundation, Turkish Education Volunteers Foundation, and Tohum Autism Foundation. Ümit Boyner, who is now married to Cem Boyner, is the mother of two children, one of whom is from her first marriage to Doğan Bolak.
