Poet and writer (b. 1909, Trabzon - d. 26 June 1983, İstanbul). He used the pen name Çağlayan. He attended the İstanbul Commercial High School and graduated from Istanbul Advanced School of Commerce (1934). He worked as an inspector in various institutions. He published the reviews Ses (1938), Yeni Ses (1946-52) and Güleryüz (1960). He was one of the quickly forgotten names of the socialist poets and writers of the 1940’s generation. He wrote a play called Mürşit (Guide) about Necip Fazıl Kısakürek. He was imprisoned for some time because he was a member of the Turkish Socialist Party.

POETRY: Hitabe (Speech, 1945), Keçi Ayaklı İlham Pan (Goat Footed İlham Pan, 1952), İstanbul Destan (İstanbul Epic, 1953), Harp Sonrası Hapishanelerin Destanı (Epics of Prisons After War, 1960).

PLAY: Mürşit (Guide, 1960), Kakabu (Kakabu, 1972).

OTHER WORKS: Sosyalizmin Gelişme Yılı 1946 (1946, the Development Year of Socialism, 1970), Yeni İnsanlık Bilimi ve Bildirisi (New Human Science and its Declaration, 1970), Duvarların Ötesi (Beyond the Walls, 1975), Şiirlerle Nasrettin Hoca (Nasrettin Hoca in Poems, 1977), Savaş Çocuğu (Child of War, 1979).
