Poet and writer (b. 29 April 1952, Gömü village / Emirdağ / Afyon – d. 19 February 2013, İzmir). His father was a teacher who studied at Village Institute. He attended Atatürk Primary School (1965), Emirdağ Elementary School (1968) and graduated from Bursa Institute of Education, Department of Turkish (1979). He worked as a noncommissioned officer for a time (1971-77). He left army voluntarily. He worked as a teacher of Turkish and literature in Isparta (1979-85), Tokat (1985-90), Anamur (1990-94) and İstanbul. He is still publication director of the review Edebiyat Gündemi editor of the review Bumerang.

His first article (Düşlemek Neye Yarar, Why is It Imagination for?) was published in the November 1985 issue of the review Öğretmen Dünyası. He published his later works in the reviews such as Öğretmen Dünyası, Yamaç, Kıyı, Aykırı, Sanat, Eylül, Anadolu Ekini, Parantez (Germany), Tan (Yugoslavia), Varlık, Damar, Karşı Berfin, Bahar, Evrensel Kültür, Yazın and Agora and in Cumhuriyet Kitap supplement and in the newspapers Demokrasi and Evrensel. He won Yeni Türkü Worthy Poet award in 1985 and came first at Sabri Akay Poetry Award in 1986. He is a member of The Turkish Authors Association and Writers Syndicate of Turkey.
