Storywriter and novelist (b. 1915, Niğde - d. 4 September 1991, İstanbul). He graduated from Antalya High School (1936) and Ankara University, Faculty of Law (1941). He began working at the Press Directorate (1936) and continued at the General Directorate of Post, Telegraph and Telephone, at Ankara Radio (1937), at the Ministry of National Education (1940), at the Directorate General of Press aad Publishing (1951) and retired after working at Ziraat Bank (1951). He started his literary career with his poems that were published in the periodical Varlık (1937). Later on he wrote short stories and novels. He won the Turkish Language Association Short Story Award with his book Acı (Bitter, 1971). His play Ayrı Dünyalar (Separate Worlds) was staged at the Ankara State Theater (1961).

SHORT STORY: Çırılçıplak (Stark Naked, 1957), Bulut Gelir Pare Pare (Here Comes the Cloud, Piece by Piece, 1958), Gülen Ayva Ağlayan Nar (Smiling Quince, Crying Pomegranate, 1959), Şubat Gecesi (February Night, 1964), Acı (Bitter, 1970).

NOVEL: Gün Görmeyen Sokak (Sunless Street, 1958), Toprak (Land, 1962), Gökkuşağı (Rainbow, 1965), Horoz Değirmeni (Rooster Mill, 1967), Kimin İçin (Who For?, 1967).

PLAY: Ayrı Dünyalar (Separate Worlds, 1961).

MEMOIR: Orhan Peker'den Anılar, Sevgiler, Mektuplar, Şiirler (The Memoirs, Loves, Letters and Poems of Orhan Peker, 1980).
