Poet (B. 17 January 1880, Istanbul – D. 5 November 1971). She used in some productions pen names of Mazlume, Mahmure, Mehcure and Leyla Feride. She lost her mother at a young age. Since his father who worked in Istanbul Şehremaneti Weighing Office as a servant did not allow her, she secretly registered to a school and could study there only for a year. She educated herself and wrote poems above a certain level at an early age. Since she was thrown out of the house by her father, she lived in poverty and worked for institutions such as the Mint and Red Crescent. She could not be happy in marriages she made, got divorced from both of her husbands and had to struggle for life with her three children.

Her poems and writings in which her life, full of sorrows and pains, was visible were published in Malûmat issued by Ahmet  Rasim and Aydınlık, Nevasal-ı Millî, Nazikter, Hanımlara Mahsûs Gazete, Kadın, Terakki, Kadınlar Alemi magazines and newspapers. Numerous poems of her written using aruz prosody perfectly were published in the magazine Kadınlar Dünyası. Yaşar Nezihe who was a pioneer of socialist poetry joined Labor Association and participated to 1st May Labor Days. She wrote strike poems and 1st May poems. Besides there are also songs whose lyrics were written by her.
