Researcher-writer. He was born in Karakocaş / Şabanözü/ Çankırı (1965). He graduated from Ataturk Teachers’ High School and Ankara University, Faculty of Veterinary (1987). He completed his masters’ degree at the same university (1993). He started to work as a research assistant at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University. After completing his doctoral studies at Ankara University, Institute of Health Sciences; he was appointed as a lecturer at Yüzüncü Yıl University. He worked as the Prime Ministry consultant responsible for the economic relations with Turkic Republics. He worked as the Agriculture and Ecology Research founding director and cultural director at Turkic-Kazakh International Hoca Ahmet Yesevi University. After returning to Turkey, he was appointed to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Areas and worked at the Publication Office. He became the consultant of Minister. He continued with his studies as a lecturer at Gazi University.

He participated in the organization of Turkic World Youth Assemblies. He worked as  a general president of World Turkic Youth Union which also organized those assemblies. He is still among the honorary presidents of same institution. He worked as the general secretary and president of Writers’ Union of Turkey since 2004. His articles were published in journals and newspapers such as Türk Yurdu, Türk Tarım, Bilig, Yesevi, Yeni Türkiye, Tercüman and Zaman.

He won an award in 2003 TYB City Books branch with his work named Türkistan - Yesevi’nin Şehri Yesi’ye Dair. He wrote the scripts and provided consultancy for many documentary films such as Asyanın Kandilleri, Gönül Bağı, Türk Arap Atı, Yaylalarımız. He was the producer and script writer of the radio program Yesi Ya da Türkistan ve Kültürümüz Edebiyatımız” which is published in six different languages.
