Literature researcher (b. 24 July 1947, Iğdır). He attended primary and
secondary school in Iğdır and Kars
Alparslan High
School. He completed his higher education at Atatürk University, Faculty of Literature,
Department of Turkish Language and Literature (1970). He worked as a teacher
and director at teacher training schools, education institutes and high
schools. He did his master’s degree (1985) and doctorate (1988) at Gazi
University, Social Sciences Institute. After he worked as an instructor at the
same university, he began to work as an instructor at Dokuz Eylül
University, Buca
Education Faculty, Department of Turkish Language and Literature (1989). He is
still working in the Turkish Education Department in this faculty.
He has published his stories, articles, research and reviews in
newspapers such as Türk Yurdu, Türk Edebiyatı, Turnalar, Millî Kültür, Millî Eğitim, Dolunay, Doğuş, Erguvan, Nilüfer, Töre, Folklor / Edebiyat etc. With his
study Türk Yurdu (Turkish
Homeland), he received the 1993 Ziya
Gökalp Encouragement Award. He
has presented communiqués at conferences, symposiums, seminars and congresses
in Turkey
and abroad.
