Poet (b. 29 May 1946, İkiçeşmelik / İzmir). He attended Tınaztepe Primary School, Tilkilik Elementary School and İzmir High School and graduated from İstanbul University Faculty of Economics Institute of Journalism. He gained fame with his poems and articles in the reviews Papirüs, Şiir Sanatı, Milliyet Sanat, Sanat Olayı, Dost, Somut, Yeni Biçem, Yeni Edebiyat, Adam Sanat, Hürriyet Gösteri, Varlık, Dize and Şiir-lik, and in the arts page of the newspaper Demokrat İzmir.

His forewords were published in the review Varlık. He collected the Z. Özger Poetry Award with his book İnsan Arkadaşınındır (Man Belongs to his Friend), the Ceyhun Atuf Kansu Poetry Award in 2000 with his poetry book Yer Bezinden Bir Köle (A Slave of the Floor Cloth) and the Orhon Murat Arıburnu Poetry Award with Ses Salkımları (Bunches of Sounds).
