Researcher on
contemporary Turkish literature. She was born on December 1, 1961 in Eskisehir.
She studied primary and secondary schools in Istanbul. She graduated from
Istanbul Pendik High School (1979) and Istanbul University, Faculty of Literature,
Department of Turkish Language and Literature (1983). She has completed her
masters’ degree in Marmara University SBF. Her masters’ thesis was named “Yakup
Kadri Karaosmanoğlu’nun Türk Edebiyatı Üzerine Tenkidi Fikirleri”(1985).
Then she started with her doctoral studies in Marmara University (1985). She
was appointed as a lecturer in Erciyes University, Faculty of Sciences and
Letters, Department of Turkish Language and Literature in 1988. She received
her doctoral degree with the thesis named “Historical Novels in Turkish
Literature” (1990) and became an assistant professor in the same year. She
became an associate professor with her monographic study named “Şükûfe Nihal”
in 1997. She worked as a visiting lecturer at Cyprus Eastern Mediterranean University,
Faculty of Sciences and Letters, Department of Turkish Language and Literature
between 1998 and 2000. She became a professor in Erciyes University, Faculty of
Letters and Sciences in 2003. She continued her employment in the same
university as the Head of Contemporary Turkish Literature. Her articles were
published in the journals of Türk Edebiyatı, Türk Dünyası
İncelemeleri Dergisi, Erciyes Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü
Dergisi, Bilge, Dergâh, Bilig, Türk Dili, Kaşgar,
Hece.
