Tarık Zafer Tunaya

Writer (b. 1915, İstanbul - d. 29 January 1991). He graduated from Saint Benoit French High School and İstanbul University, Faculty of Law (1940) of which he became a lecturer. He became an associate professor (1950) and a professor of the Constitution (1959) at the same university. After the 27 May revolution he was a one of members of the Constitution Commission (1961). Tunaya was a dean at İstanbul University, Faculty of Law (1968- 69) and Political Science (1979). He is known for his writing and speeches on the topics of the constitution and politics.
